Eloqua: Integration Tutorial

This article will cover how to install and setup Leadspace on your Eloqua environment.

Installing Leadspace on Oracle Eloqua

  • Log into Oracle Eloqua
  • Extract the environment “Site ID”. It can be easily extracted by going into -
    • Settings (the upper right corner) - 'Gear' symbol 
    • Choose “Company Defaults”






  • Send the Site ID and a list of Eloqua User Names + the user emails that need to access the app to Leadspace Support or your CSM

Once we have this information, we will provision each Eloqua user into your system. This will send the users an invitation to install the Leadspace Enrichment app in your Eloqua system. This email expires after 24 hours.

  • Check your connection by following the next steps:
    Settings → Setup



    Choose “Apps”:



    Choose “Leadspace Enrichment”:





    Click on “Check Connection”:



    If the app was installed correctly, you should receive a success status.

 

Field Mapping

The table below details the full list of available Leadspace fields along with their type. Please provide the Database Field Names for all mandatory fields that have a "*" symbol.

Note: LS Updated and LS Status are the only required fields we need to create in the Contact object. All other fields are created in either the LS_Standard_CDO or LS_SLM_CDO objects.

Leadspace Output Destination: Custom Data Objects (Default)

Leadspace by default will write data into two designated Custom Data Objects:

  • LS Standard CDO
  • LS SLM CDO (available for customers using the Site Level Matching service).

The CDOs will be connected to the contact record, and use the Eloqua Contact ID as the unique key. They will be auto-created by Leadspace along with the fields within them.


Contact record:

Leadspace can also write data directly into the contact record. The destination fields in the contact record can be either auto-created by Leadspace, or provided by the customer (in case you would like to utilize existing fields in your Eloqua instance).

LS Updated and LS Status are the only 2 fields that must be written into the contact record (Please note that currently it is not possible to write data into Account records)

If you wish to receive the Leadspace output (or parts of it) in the contact record, please let us know the following

  • Which of the fields you would like to see in the contact record.
  • For the fields you would like to see in the contact record, state if you would like them in a new LS custom field, or provide the database name in case you want to use an existing field. In case you chose an existing field, make sure it is of the same type as the corresponding Leadspace field.

In order to extract the Field Database Name for the Field Mappings process go to:

  • Settings → Setup



  • Assets→Fields & Views

     

Search the field name on the search bar.



  • Copy the Database Name into an excel spreadsheet and match your Field Database Names to the Leadspace Display Name fields that are presented in the table above.
  • As soon as you have the list of field mappings ready as well, send it also to support@leadspace.com so it could be implemented as soon as possible.  

Leadspace on Oracle Eloqua Campaign

To use Leadspace on Oracle Eloqua, you may use it in any existing or new campaign. To use it in a new campaign, go to:

  • Campaigns→Overview→Create a Multi-Step Campaign



  • Drag the Segment Members tab to the Program or Campaign Canvas and add the selected leads (both are compatible)



  • Drag to the campaign canvas the Cloud Action - Leadspace Enrichment and connect between them



*Note: You will not be able to "Click to configure cloud app" because there is nothing else to configure.
