Leadspace On-Demand allows you to discover net new leads and accounts based on how they fit a target persona or set of accounts, respectively.
Select "Create Segment +" at the top right corner and, under Discover, select "People by Persona" or "Companies by Lookalike".

Step 1: Get Started

- Segment Name: Name your segment (activity) - this will be the title of the Segment card later shown in the Segments dashboard
- Select Companies: Select companies to discover new contacts against.
- This could be done in one of 2 ways:
- Uploading a file (which will require mapping the headers). Please make sure your file:
- does not contain hidden columns or test wrapping;
- is a plain CSV file, UTF-8 encoded;
- column names in file are unique; and,
- is not uploaded directly from Salesforce. Copy the text into a new CSV file and upload it.
- Choose from an existing segment
- Uploading a file (which will require mapping the headers). Please make sure your file:

Step 2: Map Fields (only available if file was uploaded)

- Leadspace Fields > File Fields: Map your field names in the CSV file to Leadspace fields.
- Required: Map at least Company Name or Company Website.
- Best practice: Map as many fields as possible to increase accuracy.
- Leadspace Fields > File Fields: Map your field names in the CSV file to Leadspace fields.
Step 3: Persona Settings

- Persona: Users choose which Persona/s should be used. The list contains your organization’s custom personas, as well as Leadspace’s entire persona library.
- Max of 5 personas
- Indicates the minimum persona score that should be allowed in the results (inclusive): 30/50/70/90
- Department: Find contacts in specific department/s (New! as of 4/27/2021)
- Level: Find contacts in specific job level/s (New! as of 4/27/2021)
- Job Function: Find contacts in specific job function/s (New! as of 4/27/2021)
- We display the first 100 but you can use the search box to find additional job functions.
- Location: Apply contact location filters - Regions, countries, or US States. By default, "all" is applied.
- Persona: Users choose which Persona/s should be used. The list contains your organization’s custom personas, as well as Leadspace’s entire persona library.
Please note:
- If you select a specific location, you must also select against an additional filter of Persona, Department, Level, or Job Function in order to proceed to the next step.
- Between all filters (department, level, job function, location) there is an “AND” condition.
Step 4: Adjustments
- Required Contact Details: Indicate whether direct email, company phone, or direct phone are mandatory.
- Please note: this might have a significant effect on the number of results.
- Contacts Per Company: 1-25 (Increased! as of 4/27/2021)
- Exclude Contacts: Allows the user to indicate known/existing contacts, and thus to exclude them from the results. This could be done in one of 2 ways:
- Choose from previously uploaded files from the last 28 days.
- Uploading a file (which will require mapping the headers). Please make sure your file:
- does not contain hidden columns or text wrapping;
- is a plain CSV file, UTF-8 encoded;
- column names in file are unique;
- max of 2 million rows in file; and,
- is not uploaded directly from Salesforce. Copy the text into a new CSV file and upload it.
Upon clicking “Create”, the user will be taken back to the Segments dashboard, where a new Segment card will be created with an indicator showing progress toward completion.
Companies by Lookalike
Select "Companies by Lookalike"
Step 1: Get Started
- Segment Name: Name your segment (description) - this will be the title of the Segment card later shown in the Segments dashboard
- Select Companies: The user needs to choose a “seed” of companies of which new look-alike companies would be discovered.
- This could be done in one of 2 ways:
- Uploading a file (which will require mapping the headers). Please make sure your file:
- does not contain hidden columns or test wrapping;
- is a plain CSV file, UTF-8 encoded;
- column names in file are unique;
- max 2,000 records; and,
- is not uploaded directly from Salesforce. Copy the text into a new CSV file and upload it.
- Uploading a file (which will require mapping the headers). Please make sure your file:
- Choose from an existing segment
- This could be done in one of 2 ways:
Step 2: Map Fields (only available if you upload a file)

Step 3: Filter Results
- Filter Results - customers can apply additional filters when utilizing discover companies by lookalike:
- Location
- Industries
- Revenue (USD)
- Employees
Step 4: Adjustments
- Limit Results: This allows the user to limit the number of new companies discovered: 0-2600
- Mark Known Companies: This allows the user to indicate known/existing companies, and thus to exclude them from the results. This could be done in one of 2 ways:
- Choose from previously uploaded files from the last 28 days.
- Uploading a file (which will require mapping the headers). Please make sure your file:
- contains at least company name or company website (providing both is highly recommended);
- does not contain hidden columns or text wrapping;
- is a plain CSV file, UTF-8 encoded;
- column names in file are unique; and,
- is not uploaded directly from Salesforce. Copy the text into a new CSV file and upload it.
Upon clicking on “Create”, the user would be taken back to the Segments dashboard, where a new Segment card would be created with an indicator showing progress toward completion.
