Installation
What is the recommended mode of installation?
It is recommended to install the package for “All Users”. When you install for “All Users”, by default, only admin users will be able to configure the app’s settings and mappings, but all users will be able to use the app to run sync jobs. You can modify these permissions using permission sets.
What is the difference between installing the package for “Admin Only” vs. for “All Users”?
When you install the package for “Admin Only”, you will NOT have the ability to add the Leadspace Enrich Button to page layouts.
Can I change a package I installed for “Admin Only” to “All Users” instead?
If you are on an older version of the app, yes. You can click on the new package link and select to upgrade for “All Users”.
If you are on the latest version of the app, no. You will have to uninstall the package and reinstall for “All Users”.
Permission Sets
How many permission sets does the package create?
The package creates two permission sets - Leadspace Admin and Leadspace Manager - regardless of whether you install for “Admin Only” or for “All Users”.
What permissions does each permission set grant?
Leadspace Admin: Can configure app settings (Settings, Input Field Mapping, Results Field Mapping) and run sync jobs.
Leadspace Manager: Can only run sync jobs.
Are permission sets assigned automatically upon install?
No. You will have to manually assign the permission sets.
Field Level Security
What is the default field level security for Leadspace fields?
If you are on version 3.21 or above of the app, all fields allow read and write for all profiles by default.
If you are on an older version of the app, all fields are read-only for all profiles by default.
Why is my field level security reset each time I click on “Update Mappings”?
You are on an older version of the app. Please contact your CSM to upgrade to the latest version of the app. After you upgrade, navigate to the Settings tab of the app and click on “Update Profile Field Security”.
Enriching Records
Which user is used to update the record?
The user who creates the sync definition, or clicks on the enrichment button, is used to update the record.
If the user who creates the sync definition, or clicks on the enrichment button, does not have the permissions to edit fields, then the record will not be updated.
When does event based sync need to be disabled?
If event based sync if enabled for object created, it should be disabled when:
- Mass importing records of that object through data loader or any other import tool
If event based sync is enabled for object updated, it should be disabled when:
- The field that triggers the sync is mapped in Results Field Mapping AND you are running a large bulk or periodic sync
To disable event based sync, navigate to the Settings tab of the app and disable the "Event Based Trigger" toggle. You can re-enable event based sync after the conflicting action completes.
