This article will walk you through the process of creating Unify segments in Leadspace Studio using existing segments that have more than >100K records.
Issue Overview
On October 18, 2022, we found that creating Unify segments in LS Studio using existing Look-a-like, Discovery, Expansion, and Enrichment segments that individually exceed 100K records can cause the Unify segment to fail.
We are actively working on an enhancement to remove this limitation. In the meantime, please follow the solution steps below to work around this limitation.
Solution
When creating Unify segments in Studio, you will need to use segments that are <100K records.
NOTE: This is a per-segment limitation, not a limit on the total number of combined records in segments used.
This limitation does not apply to Ingested Segments. Therefore, if you have a segment that is >100K records and you need to use it in your Unify segment, you can perform the following workaround:
Download the Segment(s)
- Download the segment as a .csv file using the Download option. From either the vertical menu on the segment card, click Menu > Download
Ingest the Segment(s)
- Use the Ingestion feature to upload the .csv file back into LS Studio. Click on the Create New button, and select Ingest
Unify the Segment(s)
- Create the Unify segment and add the ingested segment instead of the organic segment created in Studio. Do this by finding the ingested segment, select the segment card it, and drag the segment onto the canvas
