The Leadspace MCP connects your AI assistant directly to Leadspace's B2B data. Instead of switching tabs and copying details across tools, you just ask — "Enrich Acme Corp," or "Find the VP of Sales there and get her email" — and the answer comes straight back in your chat.
It works inside the AI tools you already use, such as Claude and ChatGPT. You ask in plain language, and Leadspace does the lookup behind the scenes. This guide walks you through setup, which takes a couple of minutes.
What you can do
| What you can ask for | What you get | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Look up any company | Industry, size, revenue, location, and the corporate family it belongs to | Free |
| Find the right people | Job title, seniority, and department for a person at a company | Free |
| Get verified contact details | A person's business email, or their direct-dial and mobile number | 1–3 credits |
| See buying intent | Which companies are actively researching your category right now | 1 credit |
Before you start: set up Leadspace Sidekick
The MCP is available to anyone with a free Leadspace Sidekick account. If you already use Sidekick, you are ready to go — skip to the next section.
- Install the Leadspace Sidekick extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- Register with your work email. Personal email addresses are not accepted.
- That same email and password is what you will use to turn on the MCP. There is no separate account to create.
Connect it to your AI
Every client uses the same address:
https://skprod.leadspace.com/mcp/v1In Claude
- Open Settings > Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Paste the address above and leave the optional OAuth fields blank.
- Click Connect, then sign in with your Sidekick login when the browser window appears.
- That is it. Leadspace tools are now available — just start asking.
In ChatGPT
You can use Leadspace with ChatGPT today through OpenAI's Codex agent. Direct setup inside the ChatGPT app is on the way. For now, Codex is the OpenAI route, and it uses the same Leadspace sign-in.
- Make sure you have OpenAI's Codex installed (OpenAI's local agent / CLI).
-
Run the following command:
codex mcp add leadspace --url https://skprod.leadspace.com/mcp/v1 - Run
codex mcp login leadspace, then complete the browser sign-in with your Sidekick login. - Ask in plain language. The Leadspace tools are now available in Codex.
You always complete the sign-in yourself. Credentials are never handed to the agent.
In Cursor, VS Code, and other clients
Leadspace works with any MCP-compatible client using the same address and your Sidekick sign-in. Client fields such as Client ID and Secret stay blank.
- Claude Desktop — Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector > paste the URL > sign in.
- Cursor — Settings > MCP > Add server > paste the URL, then authenticate with your Sidekick login.
- VS Code — using an MCP-capable extension, add a server pointing at the URL, then authenticate.
Some clients connect to the URL directly. Others use a local mcp-remote bridge on any port in the 4903–4910 range. Either way, you complete the OAuth sign-in yourself.
Signing in
You only ever sign in with your Sidekick login, the same work email and password. Leave any "Client ID" or "Secret" fields blank — those are handled for you.
Using the Leadspace MCP
Try it: things to ask
Once connected, just talk to your assistant normally. A few examples by role:
| Role | What you might ask |
|---|---|
| Sales | "Find the CRO at Databricks, reveal their email, and draft a short intro note." |
| Marketing | "Which of our top 50 target accounts are showing buying intent for our category?" |
| RevOps | "Enrich this list of inbound sign-ups and flag the ones at companies over 1,000 employees." |
What costs credits?
Looking things up is free. You only spend credits when you ask to reveal a specific contact detail or check buying intent.
| What you ask for | Cost |
|---|---|
| Look up a company's profile | Free |
| Find a person (title, seniority, department) | Free |
| Reveal a business email | 1 credit |
| Reveal phone (direct-dial and mobile) | 3 credits |
| Check a company's buying intent | 1 credit |
| Check your credit balance | Free |
Good to know
If a detail is not on file, you are not charged. Revealing the same detail again later is free. You can always ask your assistant "what's my Leadspace credit balance?" to see where you stand.
The MCP uses the same credit balance as the rest of Sidekick. The free Starter tier includes 25 credits per day, use-it-or-lose-it, resetting daily. Paid plans give you a larger monthly allotment. You can also earn extra credits inside Sidekick through audience setup, CRM connections, and referrals, or upgrade your plan at any time.
Tips for the best results
- Be specific. A full name plus the company works far better than a name alone.
- Add context such as industry or location when a company name is common, so the assistant picks the right one.
- Keep working in the same chat. Your assistant remembers the company you are looking at, so you can ask follow-ups.
- Check buying intent first when prioritizing accounts, before spending credits on contact reveals.
Troubleshooting
- Don't see Leadspace tools? Make sure you finished signing in and the connector shows as "Connected."
- Can't sign in? Use the same email and password as your Sidekick login. If you have not set up Sidekick yet, install it first.
- Out of credits? You can earn more credits from within Sidekick, for example by completing your target-audience setup, connecting a CRM, or referring a colleague. You can also upgrade your plan (Starter, Solo, Pro, or Enterprise) for a larger credit allowance. Ask your assistant to check your balance at any time.
