This article provides instructions on how to uninstall and deactivate Leadspace connectors in your CRM and MAP Systems, specifically:
- Leadspace for Salesforce
- Marketo
- Eloqua
- Hubspot
- SmartForms
Please follow this guide if you are leaving Leadspace as a customer, or have a connection to one of these systems that is no longer in use.
Leadspace Process
Leadspace follows a comprehensive, internal deactivation process when a customer leaves Leadspace, or decides to no longer use a CRM or MAP integration connector. These steps are done in the Leadspace Admin Configuration Tools and require no action from the customer.
Here are the action items we complete during this process:
- Disable all integration connectors, program IDs, and API tokens associated with the integrations
- Disable all integration users tied to the customer account
- Delete all platform identifiers, such as REST/Identity URLs, Site IDs, Client IDs and Secrets created by Launchpoints
- Delete all field mapping tied to MAP integrations
- Delete JSON mapping for SmartForms integration
Once these steps are completed by Leadspace, you will no longer be able to these systems for Leadspace enrichment.
Customer Process
On the customer side, deactivation in the Leadspace Configuration tools does not remove the components and configurations created in your systems during the implementation process. However, you can follow the steps below to remove these configurations from your systems.
Pause Active Syncs
A good first step is to Pause any active Event-Based and Periodic jobs in the Leadspace for Salesforce Application. To do this:
- Go to the App > Sync Definitions
- Click on the Sync ID hyperlink and then click 'Edit' in the top-right corner
- Click the 'Pause Sync' button
- If you have a large amt. of active Event-Based Syncs, you can deactivate them all at once by going to Settings > Toggle off the 'Event Based Trigger' button:
Leadspace for Salesforce
- Go to App Launcher > Leadspace for Salesforce
- Settings tab
- Scroll to the bottom and click the the Delete Audience Sync Permission Sets link
- Follow the prompts until completed
- Go to Setup > Installed Packages
- Click the Uninstall link and follow prompts until completed
This should delete all the package components for the LS4SF application. However, it will not delete the LS fields created in your standard or custom objects. The fields and data will be preserved.
As a final check, please follow these steps to verify permission sets and remote site settings have been removed:
- Go to Setup > Permission Sets
- Look for 4 potential permission sets:
- Leadspace Admin (all packages)
- Leadspace Manager (all packages)
- Leadspace Single Enrich (packages 5.x only)
- Leadspace Single Enrich - Read Only (packages 5.x only)
- If these are still listed, please delete them
- Go to Setup > Remote Site Settings
- Delete any remote site setting including keyword Leadspace
If you have any questions or issues, please contact Leadspace Support.
Marketo
- Go to Admin > Launchpoint
- Select Leadspace API Service > Service Actions > Delete Service
- Select Yes to delete the Launchpoint
- Go to Admin > Users & Roles
- Delete the integration@leadspace.com user (Note: This step may not be needed if you are not using a defined user for the integration)
You will now need to remove the Leadspace Integration webhook from all associated campaigns before you can delete it.
- Go to Admin > Webhooks
- In the Details section. click the used by hyperlink. This will provide all the campaigns and processes that are using this webhook:
- Go to Marketing Activities and select the Schedule tab of each
- Select Deactivate to turn off the campaign(s)
- Do this for all campaigns using the Leadspace Enrichment webhook
- Go to Admin > Webhooks
- Select the Leadspace Enrichment webhook
- Webhook Actions > Delete Webhook (Note: If the option is still greyed out, that means the webhook is still in use)
Deleting these components will not delete the LS fields or the data within them.
Best Practices
We also recommend that you update all processes that rely on LS data for automation workflows (lead routing, Lead-to-Account matching, account assignments, etc.).
If you have any questions or issues, please contact Leadspace Support.

Hubspot
- Go to Administration > Workflows
- Deactivate and remove any Leadspace workflows that deal with Contact and Company Webhooks created that send records from Hubspot to Leadspace
- Deactivate and remove any Leadspace workflows that invoke Leadspace Webhooks and define criteria for sending contacts/companies through Hubspot

SmartForms
The only action to deactivate Smartforms is to remove the Leadspace script tag from all applicable pages. If you use a tag manager like Google Tag Manager, you will want to remove from there as well.
The script tag should be in the following format:
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://sfc.leadspace.com/SmartForms.js" data-token=""></script>
Once the script tag has been removed from your sites and content management systems, refresh the cache in your browser to complete the removal of the tag.
