Using Leadspace's LSIDs shouldn't be all about creating complex flows and custom code. Sometimes, a very simple setup can yield an effective marketing process, with a fraction of the effort.
In the example below we will demonstrate a specific use case, that may fit several others, using the same methodology.
We would like to create a campaign, taking all the leads that are associated with accounts in pipeline for the next quarter. We will send them a specific content, to nurture them in advance to the sales effort.
Gathering LSID's
Assemble the list of the GU LSIDs you wish to target. In the example below, we chose to target all accounts with open opportunities for the upcoming FQ.
Export the report from your SFDC instance.
In the report, delete all columns aside from the GU LSID's.
Copy the column and replicate in Column B.
Set your column headers as follows. Values in both columns should be GU LSID's which were exported.
Save locally as a .csv.
Setting up an Eloqua picklist
Navigate to settings.
Select Manage Picklists.
Create a new picklist.
Name picklist "GU LSIDs for FQ".
Click "Save".
In the top right hand corner select Upload Picklist and choose the .csv you saved locally earlier.
Once uploaded, save and close picklist.
Create a Segment
We'll now search for all contacts who have a GU LSID which matches our picklist.
Navigate to Audience>Segments.
Click “Create a Segment”.
In the segment select the “+” button from the menu.
Select “Filter Criteria”.
For the purpose of this example we're going to assume our Leadspace data is held in a CDO, in this case Leadspace Standard CDO. Drag a Has Linked Contact in Custom Object to the editing section.
Find the CDO and append criteria as follows: set field to "LS GU ID", operator to "in picklist", and value to GU LSID's for FQ (the picklist we created earlier).
Save segment as "GU LSIDs for FQ".
Campaign Creation
We'll now create the campaign for the defined contacts.
Navigate to Orchestration>Campaigns.
Create a simple campaign.
Name campaign Next FQ Accounts in Pipeline.
Select the appropriate segment and email and activate/schedule as desired.
